I felt the movie was pretty good although it seemed to follow St. Anne Emmerich's visions quite a bit. I'm not sure if that's negative, but I think it might have caused a little confusion for people expecting a strict narrative. Basically, the fundamental elements most protestants would want are all there, w some extra tidbits that come from St. Anne's dreams, the Satan stuff, the curse stuff, the Jesus and Mary at home stuff. All those ideas come straight out of her dreams. Overall I think they confirm and uphold biblical ideas, but they are not from the narratives we have in the Gospels. It wasn't near as emotional to me as everyone was making it sound. I never once cried or felt mopey. My favorite scene was when John, Mary and Mary were there w Jesus in the pieta shot. Pretty cool how they all froze. John was handsome too. If I had to pick a favorite recent movie though, it would not be this one. It would be either BIG FISH or AUNTIE MAME (the Rosalind Russell version).

Later, Bill
