Last night I found a bunch of my old tapes. I was listening to things as far back as 1977. There was Bobby Hoffman and I being Broncos sportscasters, a tape of my father making intimidating ghost sounds, moaning and groaning like a madman. There was even my famous cassette drama DUMB SONGS & PRETEND CHRISTMAS. It was amazing to hear it all flood back. I got to hear original music by John Sexton and poetry by Jonvon as well. I also got to hear old Crossover era recordings. It was awesome. I even heard cheesy mixes of Christian music I had made in the 80's and early 90's. There was one of me leading a home group meeting at Calvary Temple ICC. Also, I found one of me singing UNDER THE INFLUENCE by Bride in the best heavy metal voice I could muster. It was the most embarrassing and profoundly interesting night I've had in quite awhile. I think the biggest discovery for me was my 'Pink Panther'-inspired cassette drama THE GOLDEN TENNIS SHOE a la 1977. Anyone know the best way to get this stuff onto CDs so I can have masters? Let me know.
