But I must add, Bush scares me a lot more than Kerry at this point.

These media attacks are very slanted. I was around in the Vietnam era when Kerry was leading the anti-war movement against Richard M. Nixon. There were many vets that supported him, and they assembled in the thousands for demonstrations in Washington. Of course this group included less than the majority of voluntarily-enlisted military officers (not surprising at all), but many of those soldiers who were drafted shared a different perspective, to say the least. Now add the hundreds of thousands of non-military U. S. citizens which shared their anti-Vietnam War views, and the movement was a lot bigger than the rewriters of history want you to believe. And we needn't talk about the crimes and corruption of Richard Nixon and his cronies which were soon to be revealed, need we?

Speaking of history, you might remember the elder George Bush, Dick Cheney, and Donald Rumsfeld in Nixon's administration! Check out Rumsfeld's biography and notice that he does not even use Nixon's name; he only says "the President" (go figure) but he gladly uses Gerald Ford's name regarding service in his administration. There are some of us that still remember, however. ;-)

Regarding terrorism, 9/11, and Arab hatred of U. S. interventions in so many middle east affairs:

Citizens are now considered fair game for terrorist attacks because they are perceived as backing the political agendas of the U. S. administration. If Bush is reelected, that will confirm to the Arab world that the majority of Americans approve of all the recent abuses at the hands of this administration. If that happens, hatred of the U. S. will grow exponentially, non-military Americans throughout the world will be targeted even more, and the hope for a peaceful resolution of the current crisis and meaningful reconciliation with hostile countries will diminish.

This has been a BRIEF glimpse of the other side of the coin from one informed Christian who is immune to the political propaganda of the church...and is about to vote democratic.

You know, if we succeed in blowing up the earth, all those unborn babies will die anyway, now won't they?
