Today I saw a copy of THE SEVEN STOREY MOUNTAIN by Thomas Merton at work. I remember the first time I read him after having heard of him in interviews with songwriter and singer Sam Phillips. His book had a huge impact on me. Today when I saw the book, it called to me. I felt a breeze blowing. Later I felt a huge desire to pray and find silence. I'm planning to follow this breeze as it blows. My first appointment with this book was lifechanging. Hopefully, my second encounter with it will be just as powerful. Hopefully, I can still myself and be ready to take it all in. I feel as if I've been invited to a feast. Later today, in my kitchen, I felt God speaking to me. What I feel he said was very specific and personal and I hope to let him form it into the fabric of my life. Can't wait to get into Merton.
