: something tells me this isn't exhaustive, but it is what i can think of right now : kat a few of your goals are mine too. kinda cool. : write a bunch of novels : write 2 or 3 books of poetry : be a writer, in general, and basically stop all this programming crap : go to mexico during the day of the dead festivities : go see the olympics (would have loved to see them in athens) : live in italy for a while : visit ireland : spend some time in prague, maybe live there for a spell too : go to surfing camp in costa rica and learn to surf (hee) : start playing guitar again and recording : i also want to compose music with a computer, which would be a combination of electronic music and "experimental" music (not exactly sure what i mean by experimental, but it would include spoken word and guitar and as much spooky weirdness as i could come up with) : build my own house - i have a lot of crazy ideas about this including : <ul> : <li>lots of large open spaces, similar to a loft feel, with big sections of wall made of glass</li> : <li>an area for working out with a very high ceiling so i could climb a rope a few times a week</li> : <li>a library</li> : <li>the house would probably be on stilts (i always imagine it that way for some reason), and probably be very close to water, and there would have to be some old growth trees around</li> : <li>it would be two stories</li> : <li>it would have a wrap around porch on both floors to cut down on heat and allow us to enjoy the outdoors</li> : <li>there would be a lot of wood and glass and not much drywall, and the frame would be built out of industrial materials</li> : <li>interior ceilings would be made of wood, and floors would be wood and granite, i think</li> : <li>if we did have any drywall it would be mold resistant</li> : <li>would include solar panels and whatever other eco friendly stuff would be allowed code-wise (i understand florida doesn't allow graywater systems yet)</li> : <li>it would be an allergen free house, made of hypoallergenic materials</li> : </ul> : something like that... : here are a few more : spend a lot of time in new york : wear even more black : get totally ripped like arnold the guv-or-na-tor (i'm currently reading his encyclopedia of bodybuilding and working out) : buy my wife a volvo : send roan to a freakin nice college, maybe ivy league or something : and get totally out of debt : eh, probably not in that order. working on the last one now... ;-)
