"I want Candy" was originally performed by a group called The Strangeloves way back in the sixties.
Sung by a guy the lyrics go " I know a girl who's tough but sweet..."
Then came Bow Wow Wow in the early eighties. Since the lead singer is a chick they sang, "I know a guy who's tough but sweet" (I think this video is classic MTV)
It seems Aaron carter and Good Charlotte also thought the song was worth repeating. Both versions sung about their tough, sweet girl. Go figure. Any more versions out there?
