This could also be very high signs of Adrenal disease. I went through it with 4 of my 5 ferrets. It's very common... If that's the case, surgery is your best bet depending on how heathly your guy seems. The missing the box could be due to the enlarged adrenal glandpressing on his prostate...it can, sometimes, get to the point where it blocks himf from being able to go at all...I hope and pray this is not the case though...if you'd like, you can Call me...


: I need to find a great (key word) vet who handles exotics. One of our ferrets (we now have 3. D'Weasel, Herminey, Bueller. Bueller is the one I am refering to) is very old (7-8 years) and is missing the litter box, going bald, etc. I did some research on aging ferrets and this all appears like "normal" ferret senality, they suggest boosting his vitamin supply (which we have) I've noticed he has started to whimper and I know ferrets frequently become arthritic in old age so I just want a vet to check him out make sure he is not in constant pain etc. So if anyone knows of an exotic vet they highly recomend please post. Thanks
