: : : Yesterday was pretty cool. I got to talk to a couple Christian students about the way their faith was being attacked due to the minimalist, reductionist, atheistic approach of some instructors. I am really not supposed to be sharing my faith, but I just decided I didn't really care if it was inappropriate--it is appropriate to who I am and who I am supposed to be to encourage those who are in crises. And as soon as I had made up my mind about that, the very first day back (yesterday) I was clearly led into a situation I could not have orchestrated. That confirmed to me that I made the right choice. I am a Christian before I am a scholar. If I cannot intercede and be a force for encouragement to the students who are trying to follow Jesus, what the hell good am I? That is the higher calling.
