I really like Cory's response as well. I had somehow missed it earlier.
I am torn as well, if that's not evident from my posts. I went back this morning and read again what I had posted last night. In one post, I refused to take a position on sustaining Terri's life; in another, I took a very definite position. Mine was a case of what we talked about earlier, of not knowing what exactly you believe until you articulate it in writing.
But I remain torn. This is the type of decision we shouldn't have to make. Far better, in my opinion, to grieve a death than to have to decide whether to cause one.
