I heard that today is National Housewife Day...one of those obscure days of national recognition. But I wanted to take the opportunity to honor my wife for giving up her outside job and limiting her interests to take care of our son and to manage our household affairs full time. This is a big job and it is largely thankless. To make matters worse, our culture tends to devalue this role. I'm sure you've heard people say, "I don't want to stay home I want to DO something with my life." Well the choice to take care of a family and household is far from doing nothing and I want everyone to know how much I appreciate my wife doing this. I know how hard it is and I love her for having the strength to do it.
