: I need help of how to help my dog from having separation anxiety?
: I am at my wits end of this for two weeks now

There are a few things you can do to help him.

1. Don't give him to much attention before you leave or when you first come home. Wait about 2 min until he calms down then take him out for his walk. After he does what he needs to do give him a lot of play time and praise.

2. Get him a crate to stay in while you are gone. This helps give him the feeling of security he needs and protects your house.

3. Give him toys that will keep him busy. Make sure he has diffrent texture chew toys.

4. Leave the TV on. I find that channel 125 (if you have cable) has baby programing that I really like when my mom is gone.

5. If things don't get better in about a month, go to a dog trainer. A few sessions with a good trainer in your house will make all the diffrence for both of you.

6. Get up early and go for a long walk before you leave. Let him burn off excess energy. If he is a resuce dog he is used to having a lot of other dogs around. Dogs are pack animals. If you are gone a lot you might want to think of getting him a brother or kitten if he likes cats.

Don't for get to go to glamor shots in Brandon (by Sears) to see my picture hanging up in the store.

Good luck,
Buddy
