argh...I suspected as much...character set issues

Sorry, I thought this might happen. The Japanese character set will display as junk characters unless you set your screen encoding to Japanese (View/Encoding/Japanese) The English will still display in this encoding. I know current Internet Explorer versions have it as an option, though you may have to load it...I can't remember.

NOTE: You won't be able to type in that character set unless you have an Input Method Editor (also included with Windows, but you do have to install this one)

Sorry if you're using other software or platforms...I'm sure you have similar options, but I don't know how to help you.
