Nice. Reminds me of this thing I caught on TV recently. It was some pilot called "The Book of Daniel". Aparrently pretty controversial. About an Episcopal priest whose family is falling apart. Through it all he had to deal with all kinds of issues that really polarize people in the Christian world and all in his own family. But the hook of the show was that Daniel talks to Jesus on a regular basis...and sees him standing there. I hated the show really. I think alot of people did because the buzz died real fast after it aired, but I loved how they portrayed Jesus. Honestly, I couldn't find anything sacriligeous or even irreverent about how he was portrayed. The one voice of reason and grace in the entire whacked setting. What reminded me in this cartoon was that Jesus used humor. Not blatant stupid humor, but poked just enough fun to make Daniel realize the absurdity of his situation.

I don't know, but I thought it was cool. No disdane, no condemnation, no mush. Just unflustered comment with a hint of sarcasm. Like when my son does something stupid that I told him wouldn't work and I can't help laughing as he realizes why I was right. It isn't a mean laugh, just a Father thing I guess. And it breaks the tension so he realizes he can laugh at his own situation as I help him figure it out.
