If you have a truck and just want to get rid of the couch take it to the Salvation Army or something. Or you could dump it over the balcony. It will make a thunderous crack and startle any cats in the vicinity into little stickleback statues for at least 10 minutes. Then you can leave it by a dumpster. Just make sure no one is walking under it first.
