Terry had to carry him to the car (causing great pain for her) and drive drugged to the emergency vet. The vet gave Buddy a shot that got him conscious (epinephrine, I would guess), and then cut all the infected (venomized) tissue out of his paw. They think they got it all, but they need to see him every day for a couple weeks to be sure they didn't miss any and he is healing correctly.

Very soon our little town will be hit with up to 35-40 mile per hour winds and 60 mile per hour gusts- there are already reports of mobile homes destroyed in Holiday.
