I don't remember what show that was either, but we were all really hot. I miss some of that old stuff too, but I try not to look back too much. I try to remind myself that we can't recreate the past and there will be other joys in the future.

Another thing I was thinking, is that over the years, we've been friends but never really hung out alot. Even still, at important points in my memory, you have always just shown up. I remember those shows, and you were almost always there. I remember going to the movies once with Jen P and Bryan Schulz right before they really fell apart...and we met you there just coming in or out. I remember many times at the Castle, one of which was our last night out in the US, and you were there! Come to think of it, the first time I preached at CLF, you showed up.

I'm not trying to make anything out of it really, but just noticing how we've consistently crossed paths. I'd only be mildly surprised if I walked into a store here in Japan and you were walking out.

: : ~You know, Stryper was in concert at the last Night of Joy, last September 2004. I considered going, but did not. It would have been the first time for me, I did not grow up in the church in the 80's and I was not around Christian music or bands in the 80's (although I did see Stryper on MTV in the late 80's, so they were the first Christian band I knew about).

: : In the 90's I became a Christian, I did go to a lot of Christian shows in the 90's, and I do remember all the Refuge shows (and Crossover shows), it was a great, crazy, carefree time. I don't remember exactly at which show it was when that happened, could have been any one of the ones you list!

: ~In this decade, I haven't gone to many Christian shows, but I did go to Cornerstone Florida last year and saw another christian show early this year at Skipper's. However, mostly I loved seeing people from the former Crossover performing stuff, starting with Parallel Universe@CLF, and then @Kingdom Come, and coalescing in OMAS; instead of seeing bands with people that I don't personally know. I remember poems by Cory, by Raul, by John Vaugh, G,and then jams going chaotic by Steve and Jason, and Kat's scary bones and singing, and Bill's art shows, Tiny's fresh jives, Rhino's Rants, PU stand(ing) up (literally), Cari and Nancy singing, Mike Cleary; and Chris and percussion, and the list goes on...and all this supplemented by kat's karaoke parties. All of this is gone too, (except for Kat's karaoke parties) and I miss it a lot.
