Actually, we were there when it was already closed, but AJ and other employees had just received the sudden word of its closing and they were doing closing stuff. It was cool in that this girl was playing old-school Metallica inside the closed shop and AJ and I moshed a bit (funny some of this songs were recorded before they were even born). Anyway, Javatropolis is no more, it's closed forever. : Second, Phunklekitten has started this open Poetry/spoken word/performance etc. night at : <a href="http://www.myjavajunction.com/">Java Junction</a> in downtown Clearwater, about once a month. Write more, share more! : : : I thought it was good. The subject is not something revolutionary, which is nice, not attempting shock like so many poets. The rhythm is great. You definitely have a great command of the English language, again something rather rare. And it approaches the slightly taboo Christian eroticism. It doesn't need to be taboo, but we just don't often openly express our sexuality in a Christian context. While not as explicit as some I've seen it definitely conveys the emotion...a deep love and respect in the context of an eternal relationship. Good stuff. Write more.
