: : Senator Robert C. Byrd's new book LOSING AMERICA: CONFRONTING A RECKLESS AND ARROGANT PRESIDENCY is a wonderfully written record of his concerns about President Bush and the Bush administration. Along with the Norman Mailer interview, which I have linked to twice on this board, this book provides great insights into our current presidency and it's effects on the American people, American freedom and foreign policy. One thing I like about Senator Byrd's perspective is his constant reverent treatment of founding documents like THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE, THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES and THE FEDERALIST PAPERS. I'm very excited to have found this book.

: You got concerns for Bush, pray for him! There is two many people with their opinions of what is going on right now, for now He is the person God put over us and I'm sure covets our prayers, everyone has opinions like we all do butholes and a lot of our holes have the same fragrance as our opinions, enjoy your book.

Democracy is all about having your own opinions. It's the true American way. I for one think Bush has not been criticized enough, not too much. The whole trust in God and shut up dialogue is getting old. If Bush starts a global war, will that be God's will also? I don't agree with the church's inconsistent providence theology. If their man is in office, it is God's will, He is in control, and we should just trust and be nice. If the liberal opponent is in office, it is either the devil's doing or God's chastening, and we should be extremely proactive about kicking the enemy's butt and taking the kingdom back. Who doesn't see the theological inconsistency in promoting "Christian" sociopolitical agendas here?
