I'll be honest. Back in the day I would have been on the front row. But these days, I am not much of a concert goer. I appreciate all you do for those who DO keep up with music. I think I've passed that time of my life. I think I quit keeping up with CCM and Christian alternative bands about the time I got back from Boulder. By that time people were changing their attitudes about music and the way they learned about it. In the old days we'd go to magazines or we'd inform each other through zines about the latest stuff. We'd even mail order our stuff and wait months for it to arrive. Now there is so much information available in so many venues. It's very hard for me to keep up with it. This plus MP3s which I still haven't figured out (the only music I listen to is on cds, nothing on my computer). I think I just quit trying to keep up. I used to own everything by Mortal/Fold Zandura, Scaterd Few and Moby, but now I can't tell you how many of their albums I haven't bought. Not to mention Amy Grant. There was a time I would not have missed anything new by any of those four bands, but now I have incomplete collections of each. I'm at a point where I'd much rather throw down my money on a complete set of Daniel Amos reissues than pay see anyone live. I'm glad that there are good bands out there for young people today. I'm just not aware of that scene anymore. However, if you bring Sufjan Stevens down, let me know. I would definitely come out to see him. He's my exception to the no live concert rule.

Later, Bill
