: i'm on board with the idea of purpose playing a role, but a little skeptical with the idea of it being potentialy a biologically infused trait. maybe it is because i dont want to think that there is no hope for me. am i biologicaly goofy? :})

Well, I understand not wanting to believe something, but that doesn't change the fact, if that is what it is...I'm just throwing stuff out. But I know you'd agree with that.

In defense of the biological thing, I don't think it means anyone is destined to be goofy becasue there are many other factors that influence it. Just look at Jim Carey...the man often looks like an idiot, but he can also look serious and even act that way. Or Chris Farley...he was pretty stupid looking, but I'm sure he didn't always look that way. I just meant that just like angular shapes look mean and the features I mentioned look cute, maybe there is some universal set of parameters that we read as goofy. Honestly, I've read about studies where they proved the cute thing and the scary thing. That's how movie makers know how to make up characters. And it's why no american politician has a beard.

And if you are genetically goofy, I'm genetically creepy, so we're even. I have dark hair with a widow's peak, which I wear long. A pointed chin, sharp cheek bones, long down-curved nose, eyebrow ridge, and deep-set eyes. Add the mustache and goatee, and I'm the textbook profile of sinister. But I try to make that work for me.

Then again, in certain circles, we both fit right in, so that sort of blows all our conjecture right out of the water anyway doesn't it.
