Senator Robert C. Byrd's new book LOSING AMERICA: CONFRONTING A RECKLESS AND ARROGANT PRESIDENCY is a wonderfully written record of his concerns about President Bush and the Bush administration. Along with the Norman Mailer interview, which I have linked to twice on this board, this book provides great insights into our current presidency and it's effects on the American people, American freedom and foreign policy. One thing I like about Senator Byrd's perspective is his constant reverent treatment of founding documents like THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE, THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES and THE FEDERALIST PAPERS. I'm very excited to have found this book.
